Hello and welcome! I am so happy that you are here. My name is Cindy, and I am a retired English teacher and LMSW therapist. I turned 68 years old last weekend, and I find this stage of life exciting and, if I am completely honest, a little scary, too.

I have been married to a lovely man for almost 45 years, and we have five children. Our oldest son was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome as a young adult. Being a teacher, I should have seen the signs of autism earlier, but I needed a friend to tell me. With support, he went to college, married a beautiful woman, and now has a son who is also on the spectrum. Autism is often hereditary, and it took me a while, but I finally figured out that my husband is on the spectrum as well. This blog is my journey to understanding my life; hopefully, it will also help you know about your life. Join me!
